Capacity & Strengths

We have a number of glass tempering furnaces and automated IGU lines so dimensions and capacity are never a problem for us.

Unlike some, our strength lies in our abilities to cut, toughen, bend, laminate, paint, drill, bevel, polish, heat soak, frit and seal with silicone, polysulphide or polyurethane all under the same roof. This means we can do things pretty quickly, a huge benefit to our customers. Dimensions are not an issue we can temper up to 6000 x 3210 and make a insulated glass units that size too !

Our strength and confidence is in our production systems and methods: our quality is to the latest EN standard and the latest directive as far as environmental impact is concerned.

Being able to control our own destiny has always been important to us, our reputation depends on the manner in which we complete contracts not how we start them.

We are the largest capacity single site tempering operation in Europe and all tempering furnaces produce to EN 12150 (to BSI class one).

The tempering capacities at Nenagh are:

Furnace 1	Tempering bed size: 2400 x 5500
Furnace 2	Tempering bed size: 1650 x 4500
Furnace 3	Tempering bed size: 2300 x 4800
Furnace 4	Tempering bed size: 2700 x 7800, this furnace can also curve and temper glass, up to 19mm thick in dimension of 2700 x 4300
Furnace 5	Tempering bed size 3300 x 7500. (We can toughen a jumbo)

The tempering capacities at Lurgan are:

Furnace 1	Tempering bed size 2050 x 3500
Furnace 2	Tempering bed size 1800 x 3250

Our 10 automated IGU lines can make up to 9000 high performance soft coat IGU per day to EN1279/BS5713 with the maximum size of 6000 x 3210 to 175 x 175 offered in tempered, heat strengthened or laminated.

We offer three edge sealants, Silicone (2 types) polysulphide or polyurethane.

Shaped units, big units, curved units and the more complex glass specifications are our speciality.

• we have CNC waterjet cutting stations max size 2400 x 5500
• straight line edgers all based around maximum size of 2800
