Vista Screen
Vista Screen is our brand of screen printed glass products which combine extreme durability with a permanent non-ageing clean, crisp appearance. A range of silk screened products offering building designers exciting and different ways to customize exterior and interior glass are available from Carey Glass International. We use standard and custom solid and screened patterns and colours.
Vista Screen is available on clear, tinted, certain Low-E or High Performance glass, can control light transmittance, reduce solar heat gain and provide a desired level of privacy and is available up to 4500mm x 2400mm
Vista Screen can be combined with Vista Therm our insulated unit. The printing can be done on surface 2,3,4,5 or 6.
Detailed Description
Vista Screen is a decorative glass fabricated by transferring images or geometric designs to a glass surface. By using the same basic technology as in Vista Clad, the ceramic frit is applied to the glass through a fine mesh screen containing a standard or custom design. More durable than acid-etched or sandblasted surfaces, silk-screened glass is less susceptible to staining, easier to clean and always toughened to withstand thermal or mechanical stress.
Available on monolithic, on insulating glass units, or as laminated glass, providing beauty, safety and functionality, which can make it the ideal glass product for non-vision and spandrel areas in curtain wall applications.
Surface coverage can be 100 percent when overall opacification is required, or can take the form of an infinite variety of decorative patterns although we offer a standard range to the market.
The accuracy of our state-of-the-art silk-screening equipment allows for double painting on the same glass surface, using different colours without any pattern overlap which allows Vista Screen to show a different colour on each glass surface whilst retaining total silk screen accuracy.
Vista Screen is available on float glass substrates and our print bed size is 4100 x 2100 although bigger sizes are available on submission of details to our sales department. Vista Screen is produced using the latest, accurate and highly efficient Silkscreen Technology for the application of ceramic frit paint on glass surfaces. The silkscreen paint is dried onto the glass surface by a heat process and is then fire-fused into the glass at up to 600 degrees C in our dedicated tempering furnace. We can produce Heat Strengthened or Fully Tempered Vista Screen according to design specification.
