CareyGlass Champions Sustainable Manufacturing with Commitment to Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

CareyGlass are delighted to announce that we have entered into a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with Erova Energy, securing the supply of 40% of our electricity requirements from Curraghgraiguewindfarm which is located approximately 10 miles from our plant in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.

Managing Director of CurraghgraigueWindFarm, Baden Powell, said: “By supplying clean, renewable wind energy to large energy user CareyGlass, we are not only contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions but also aiding businesses in the pursuit of more efficient and responsible energy use. It is immensely rewarding to see this renewable electricity being utilised so close to its source, demonstrating the tangible benefits of our dedication and innovation.”

CareyGlass were supported during this PPA process by Barry O’Leary from ExemplarEnergy based in Cork. “CareyGlass’s long-term commitment to renewable energy reflects a growing trend among Irish businesses looking to enhance sustainability and resilience in the face of evolving energy challenges”.
