Designed to be a landmark building and procured through Scape’s flagship £7bn national construction framework, the new West Division headquarters is the largest investment in a new building Lancashire Police has ever made – not only in terms of value, but also in terms of the size of the building.The building’s façade, which is predominantly rainscreen cladding, has been designed with a number of striking features, including curved columns that run from the roof to the floor, supported by a steel cantilever.

The investment, which is the biggest in the force’s history, was funded as part of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC’s) capital programme. The new building includes one of the UKs largest custody suites with innovative design to provide more secure environment for officers and those in custody
