The Presentation Convents' €10.5 million redevelopment of Nano Nagle Place was officially opened by President Mary McAleese. In her address President McAleese noted that the development of the historic 18th century site involved the establishment of an impressive heritage centre with an interactive experience telling the story of the Presentation sisters as well as the creation of tranquil gardens, a garden café and design shop. She praised the Architects Jack Coughlan & Associates and Design Team for their vision and PJ Hegarty’s for their dedication and hard work for bringing the project to its impressive completion.
Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr Tony Fitzgearld said the development of Nano Nagle Place was a fabulous addition to the cork City Historic tourist trail and he believed it would attract people from all around the world whose lives had been touched by the presentation Sisters
