The Guinness Gravity Bar Receives Award

Designed by RKD Architects, the Gravity Bar Expansion at Guinness Storehouse recently achieved a Merit at the BCSA Structural Steel Design Awards 2020. Fifty panes of glass were used to create the panoramic view over the Dublin cityscape that has become the jewel in the crown of the Home of Guinness. Project work atop the protected structure was carried out with the building remaining operational throughout. The new bar is supported on four steel columns that connect through the roof to the strengthened historic structure below.  Many congratulations to all involved. All glass by CareyGlass.
